I recently had a really wonderful maternity session with Brianne and her husband Josh. It was such a great experience to work with such a light-hearted and fun couple! I thought I would share some of my favorites from their session!

Today we finish up with Sarah & Dale’s Engagement session. Let’s get to the good stuff!

These next few images are very special. This happens to be the exact spot where the couple will be getting married in 2015. I won’t ruin too much about the space but these were too captivating not to share! They have truly picked a magical spot for their big day.

We finished up the session with a quick outfit change featuring one of their favorite football teams!

I recently had the opportunity to spend some time with an old friend from VCU and her fiancé at Amber Grove (the venue for their 2015 wedding!). We have collaborated in the past on a lot of great projects** and it is always a wonderful experience to work with her. So it came to no surprise that when it came to Sarah and Dale’s session, we would have a great time. If you’ve been keeping up with my Facebook you have already seen some of the images from our time together but I thought I’d share some more.

Sarah and Dale are a perfect match for each other and I think that these images really show how in love they are! They compliment each other so well and I couldn’t be happier for them. And did I forget to mention Stella? Isn’t their pup adorable?

I will be back Friday with Part 2 because I couldn’t narrow it down, they are just that photogenic! Be sure to Like Stephen Turner Photography on Facebook in order to keep up with Sarah & Dale’s story!

**Sarah might kill me for sharing this but here is something we did together our Freshman year of College! Can you believe we made this inflatable washer and dryer set out of garbage bags?!

Today’s post is Part 2 of The Scanlon Family’s session. How adorable is their dog Sugar? Sugar was a wonderful addition to this session and their family portrait would not be complete without her!

Last week I posted on Facebook a preview of a session I did recently with the Scanlon family. We met at  City Dock in Downtown Fredericksburg on a gorgeous afternoon right before sunset. Fall foliage is in full swing here in Virginia and it really made our time together extra special.

I’ll be back later this week to share some more images from the Scanlon’s session so be sure to Like Us on Facebook to receive updates on brand new images!

I recently had the pleasure of shooting The Mountjoy family at the City Dock in Downtown Fredericksburg. It was a quick shoot but we had a great time. We have another great session planned featuring fall foliage so be on the look out for that in the near future!

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of a wonderful couple. Their ceremony and reception took place at a beautiful home on Marlborough Point overlooking the Potomac River. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Tera and Jesse exchanged vows as the sun was setting. Here is the first set of images from their Big Day! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

I recently had the opportunity to spend some time with a great family while they were briefly in town. When they contacted me to take their family portrait I was so excited. I’ve known them for a very long time and it is crazy to think about how fast time can pass (It felt like yesterday when the kids were infants). It was also great because Jay was my high school art teacher and was an invaluable support and influence in encouraging me to pursue my fine art degree. So needless to say, I probably wouldn’t be where I am without his guidance and wisdom. We had such a great afternoon at Slaughter Pen Farm in Fredericksburg and I think these pictures do this amazing family justice. I’ll be back Wednesday with some more photos from this great session!
